National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, September 30th, marks Canada's first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This new statutory holiday was created to give Canadians the opportunity to reflect on the tragic history of residential schools, grieve the victims and honor Survivors, their families and communities. Canadians wear orange to mark this day, and community events are being hosted across the nation, including at some of our institutions.
