To mark International Francophonie Day, President and Vice-Chancellor Jacques Frémont and Vice-President, International and Francophonie Sanni Yaya announced a major investment of $5 million over three years to support the Francophonie at the University of Ottawa. This funding will enable the University to not only speed up the hiring of new professors, but also improve the number and quality of programs offered in French, thereby providing an exceptional learning environment for Francophone students. Moreover, it will boost the revitalization of community life so that the Francophonie can thrive on campus and beyond. This investment will support the renewal of the Francophonie on campus and breathe new life into our bilingual communications.
