uOttawa Transforms Into 5G-Powered Innovation Hub 

The University of Ottawa and TELUS announced a 5-year partnership that will transform the campus into a 5G-powered innovation hub.  

TELUS, the information and communications technology giant that was ranked as the fastest in the world in 2020 will invest 6 million dollars to connect the different campuses to 5G. This will accelerate cutting-edge research and innovation in the heart of the nation’s capital. Last summer, TELUS became the 5G Anchor Partner of the Kanata North Business Association’s HUB350. It is just a few doors down from the uOttawa’s Kanata-North campus in the Innovation Zone of Canada’s largest Technology Hub. 

This collaboration will transform uOttawa campuses and enrich the student experience through new teaching methods as students participate in cutting-edge research leveraging the power of 5G.
